Welcome to 3i's Initiatives 

The 3i’s Initiative is an initiative designed by the Ondo State Government under the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Development & NGO matters in collaboration with the Ministry of Community Development & Co-operative Services. The 3i’s Initiative focuses on rural and community development using the participatory, community-driven, “bottom-up with top down support” approach. The “3i’s” is an acronym for:

Infrastructure- Building Confidence and Trust

The aim is to rebuild the lost confidence the people had in government through the provision of basic infrastructure. The Ondo State Government intends to implement several community projects such as electricity, water, access to primary health care and education within rural communities.

Institution- Empowering for Sustainable Development

The Ondo State Government intends to identify existing community institutions, encourage the setting up of new ones and support such institutions by building their capacities and providing financial support for development.

Industry – Enriching the People of Ondo State

The Ondo State Government intends to identify potential and viable industries within the communities that can be expanded to encourage commerce and generate income for the people.
